Interesting I was referring to Eibach. At Industrial Spring we offer a wide range of powder coating finish wire springs including sizes that range between 136 and 625. The leaves rub against one another as the spring flexes and that is not a good thing for powder coating. Ad Aktuelle Kollektion zu Spitzenpreisen. To have the powder coat work without softening the springs the heat MUST be held to less than 350 degrees. Would powdercoating a front leaf spring each leaf seperately be a good idea.

Interesting I was referring to Eibach. I assume the leafs move against each other I. Would the heat affect the spring rate. IMO it is not a good idea to use powder coatings between leaf springs. Typically powder coat is not warm enough to affect spring metallurgy.

Most of the aftermarket torsion bars for these cars are powder coated too. If you do not see a part listed that you would like to have powder coated contact us. I have powdered many an Eibach spring without issue over the years. Hi I will be restoring the suspension on an old race car it has transverse leaf springs like a Model A Ford They are rusty now from sitting 30 years So do I take it apart and powdercoat them. IMO it is not a good idea to use powder coatings between leaf springs. I use high quality hi temp engine enamel. The outside of the spring leaves can still be painted to match the chassis. Powder coated leaf springs. I have a set of Eaton Detroit Rod-Ride rear springs and I called them to ask about disassembly and painting or powder coat and they did not want me to take the springs apart and recommended that I just get a decent quality paint POR Rustoleum etc and just coat them a couple of times before putting on the vehicle.
